Marina Pez Vela is the established sportfishing lane: premium boats, purpose-built infrastructure and a trip organised entirely around fishing days.
Iztapa and Buena Vista sit in a mature local fishing ecosystem with several boat classes operating side by side, which makes it the most configurable of the three.
Playa El Rosario, around Hotel Maya Jade, is the quieter Pacific: black sand, surf heritage, whale watching in season, Monterrico nearby, and offshore trips that have been running from the base for years. It suits anglers who want the coast as part of the trip.
